The 6,300-square-foot project consists of a multi-camera television production studio, state-of-the-art control room, virtual studio, media lab, and career center.The new studio, located on the John Muir High School campus and developed with guidance by the district’s television station KLRN Pasadena, provides students in John Muir High School’s Arts, Entertainment, and Media Academy with hands-on learning opportunities both in front of and behind the camera. The studio is designed to prepare high school students for careers in Southern California’s broadcast television, journalism, and filmmaking industries.
